Status Update #4 - Open for walk-in shopping!

Posted by Linda Schmidt on

We are welcoming customers back into the store with walk-in shopping every day! Below are the details, but please understand that we might have to revise this as we go along.

  • Monday through Friday 11am-5pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:30am-5pm

No more than 6 customers will be allowed in the shop at any one time. To assist us with our reduced ability to accommodate in-store customers, please limit your group to 2 household members and stay for no more than 15 minutes.

If you need longer to shop or need to be around fewer people for any reason, we will be offering private shopping by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Appointments will be 30 minutes long, and are available at 10:00 am, 10:30 am, and 5:00 pm. To make an appointment please email linda@cat-n-mouse.com or call the shop at 312-465-2178.

We will continue to offer online and phone ordering, along with curbside pickup and shipping.

While you’re in the shop, whether it’s as a walk-in customer or by appointment, the following rules will be in place:
- Masks are REQUIRED for everyone in the shop over the age of 2. The masks must be worn properly, covering your nose and mouth.
- Maintain distance of 6 feet or more from staff and other customer groups. We’ll have special stickers on the floor to help you gauge this.
- You will need to disinfect your hands upon entry with the sanitizer that’s provided.

If you arrive with children, please prepare them for the different environment that they’ll find once they’re inside the store. All of the demos and play tables have been put away, and children will need to remain close by your side the entire time you’re in the store. Babies and toddlers should remain in their strollers or in your arms. If everyone makes an effort to shop more with their eyes and less with their hands, that would really help us out.

Someday we’ll be able to linger over game demos, give a stuffed animal a quick squeeze, and test out all the things at the fidget bar again. Heck, some day we'll even be able to sit down at a table with strangers and have fun playing games.
But until then, we REALLY appreciate everyone doing their best to help us maintain a clean and safe environment!
