7 Wonders Duel

One of the most celebrated games in the world can now be experienced in a two-player arena. 7 Wonders Duel takes the game play and excitement of the original and adapts it for one-on-one battles. Take control of your civilization and decide to invest in science, military or prestige. Two new ways to win will keep you on your toes and watching every move your opponent makes. If you fail to build defenses your capital city may be destroyed, but ignore technology and your people may be left in the dark ages. It's a constant tug of war. 7 Wonders Duel is an exciting new way to play the game that took the world by storm. Great for both fans of the original and those new to the hobby.

 

Above and Below

Above and Below is a mashup of town-building and storytelling where you and up to three friends compete to build the best village above and below ground. In the game, you send your villagers to perform jobs like exploring the cave, harvesting resources, and constructing houses. Each villager has unique skills and abilities, and you must decide how to best use them. You have your own personal village board, and you slide the villagers on this board to various areas to indicate that they've been given jobs to do. Will you send Hanna along on the expedition to the cave? Or should she instead spend her time teaching important skills to one of the young villagers?

A great cavern lies below the surface, ready for you to explore-- this is where the storytelling comes in. When you send a group of villagers to explore the depths, one of your friends reads what happens to you from a book of paragraphs. You'll be given a choice of how to react, and a lot will depend on which villagers you brought on the expedition, and who you're willing to sacrifice to succeed. The book of paragraphs is packed with encounters of amazing adventure, randomly chosen each time you visit the cavern.

At the end of the game, the player with the most well-developed village wins!

 

Between Two Cities

Between Two Cities is a partnership-driven tile-drafting game in which each tile represents part of a city: factory, shop, park, landmarks, etc. You work with the player on your left to design the heart of one city, and with the player on your right to design the heart of another city. On each turn you select two tiles from hand, reveal them, then work with your partners separately to place one of those tiles into each of your two cities before passing the remaining hand of tiles around the table.

At the end of the game, each city is scored for its livability. Your final score is the lower of the livability scores of the two cities you helped design. To win, you have to share your attention and your devotion between two cities. The player with the highest final score wins the game.

The game features play for 3-7 players in 20-25 minutes, a 2-player variant for head-to-head competition as well as a solo variant (Automa).

Tiny Epic Galaxies

Tiny Epic Galaxies is driven by an exciting dice-rolling mechanic that rewards thoughtful programming of the results. Players control a home planet and a series of space ships within their own personal galaxy. As players upgrade their galaxies they gain access to more ships and more dice.

Each turn, a player will roll a set of dice, how many dice are rolled is determined by the level of that player's galaxy. Each side of the die (6 sided) represents a different type of action: Movement, Colony Action, Harvest from Culture Planets, Harvest from Energy Planets, Improve an Economic Influence, Improve a Diplomatic Influence.

After the roll, the player then sorts the results of the roll (one selective re-roll is allowed) and organizes the dice in a desired activation order. Each die, in order, is then resolved and the results are immediate! This gets very exciting, as it allows the player to pull-off unseen combos and surprise other players. But don't fret! Other players have the option to copy other player's actions... at a cost!

In addition to upgrading galaxies, effective resource management provides luck-mitigating options that can sway the game in a calculated player's favor.

As players expand their galaxy by colonizing other planets through economic and diplomatic influence, they gain victory points AND the special powers brought in by those planets!

You are the ruler of your galaxy and there are no limits to your expansion!

 

Favor of the Pharaoh

In Favor of the Pharaoh, players roll dice to advance in Egyptian society, each turn gaining a new contact and more influence. These contacts give players more dice to roll or special powers to adjust those dice. The game culminates in a tense final roll-off as players vie for the Pharaoh's favor. This re-imagining of Tom Lehmann's earlier game "To Court the King" boasts over 50 different characters, each of whom has a unique ability. In each game, only 21 of those characters are used, increasing variety and replay value. Also new are 6 different custom dice with special abilities, special Immediate dice and bonus tokens that are used to tweak players' rolls.

 

Vault Wars

When heroes are slain, their treasure-filled storage vaults are abandoned and put up for auction. As an aspiring hero, you must outbid your opponents to win these auctions and acquire the gear you need. Will you triumph by collecting a chest of gems and artifacts, or go home with a trunk full of junk? Outbid, out-bluff, and master the auctions to be victorious in Vault Wars.

 

Birds of a Feather

Every year, the most enthusiastic (or maybe just crazy) birders across the country embark on a big year, where they try to see as many birds as they can. For some reason, you've decided that this year will be your big year. You'll explore wonderful habitats on a quest to see as many beautiful birds as you can. But whenever you see a bird, word will get out. Anticipate the crowd to see more birds than anyone else!

Birds of a Feather is a fast, friendly, easy to learn card game for 2-7 players. The game is easy enough for children to learn and enjoy, but surprisingly strategic, making it a great filler for more hard core gamers.

At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt a large hand of cards. The game takes place over several rounds. In each round, each player chooses a card to play simultaneously. This determines not only which bird that player sees that round, but which habitat that player visits. Players check off the birds they see on a score sheet, seeing their own bird plus any other birds in the same habitat. Additionally, all birds are available to be seen for an additional round, giving players the opportunity to see rare birds they missed the first time.

Once all players have played through their hands, scores are tallied based on which birds each player saw. Seeing all birds in a habitat gives a substantial bonus. In the end, whoever saw the widest variety of birds is the winner!

Valley of the Kings: Afterlife

When you die, you can take it with you! Take on the role of Egyptian nobles at the time of the pharaohs, preparing for their death and burial in the Valley of the Kings. Using an innovative deck-building mechanic with a crumbling pyramid, players fill their tombs with jewelry, chambers, weapons, tomb art and other treasures. The player who collects the most valuable artifacts in their tomb wins the game! While ​Valley of the Kings: Afterlife​is a stand-alone game, it can be mixed with the original Valley of the Kings to play a different game each time and also play with up to 6 players. Valley of the Kings ​is an innovative deck-building game. Each card can be used three different ways so players must carefully decide whether to spend a card for its cash value, use it for its action, or entomb it for victory points. ​Valley of the Kings​requires that players carefully manage deck building and victory point accumulation. The most valuable cards to have in your hand are also the most valuable to have in your tomb. The end game is frequently a scramble to get the good stuff stored away.

Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans

Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans created an amazing culture and technology far beyond the reach of any other ancient civilization. When the game begins, all these wonders, your culture, are being threatened by catastrophe. Save your ancient legacy and settle on safe lands before the water sinks everything you have created. With Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans you gain access to a brand new faction with its own goals and method of development. Also included, are cards to expand the 4 base game factions, as well as the common deck with new traits and card types compatible with the Atlanteans. The end is near. Try to survive it!
