Reach into the bag to find the puzzle pieces that match the pictures on your bedroom game board. If a monster pops out, don't be scared...just tell that silly old thing to go away. Then get rid of him for good by tossing him into the monster pit and out of your room. You take charge, and the monsters take off!

The game teaches young children shape recognition, cooperation, competence and boosts self-esteem, and is designed to be played with parents and friends. The game also lets young children experience some of the apprehension and excitement in deciding what is real and what is imaginary.

"Want to introduce a very young child to their first game? Go Away Monster is sure to be a big hit!  Players draw a piece out of the bag and match that piece in the corresponding location on their bedroom card. But look out! If you draw a monster, you have to put it back in the bag and yell, "Go away monster!!"

Toddlers and early preschoolers can learn to match shapes, take turns, and even get a laugh when they "lose a turn" to the monster. This game was one of the biggest hits while I was teaching preschool this past summer, and the kids were able to maintain the game without an adult once they played it once."
